Yesturday’s lunch was delicious. I wanted something quick and easy. This ‘flat taco’ I made consists of a gluten-free tostada chip, romaine lettuce, tomato, avocado and some left over extra lean ground turkey. And yes I did have more than one…it was light and tasty. I’m loving experimenting with healthy food. #yumm #eatclean #healthyfood #health #foodie #WhatIEat #Glutenfree #dairyfree

So, my hubby was the one that pointed this out to me since I never touch this stuff. For those that use artificial sweetener since it is advertised to be calorie free and good for weight loss, the package says: ‘This sweetener should only be used on the advice of a physician’. In other words, this sweetener could counteract with any medications that you may be on or it could cause unknown harmful effects to certain people.
If calorie counting is that important to you, I recommend that you simply use less of real sugar (cutting down on your sugar intake works wonders) or substitute sugar with honey which is natural and broken down better in our bodies. Steer clear of the artificial products disguised as food. They can only do more harm to the body in the long term than good. #sugar #health #healthyfood #education #fitspo #sweet #calories
This weekend I went to the super market and picked up some fresh green beans. I actually love green beans but have been so busy lately that I have always opted for the frozen ones since I convinced myself that they seemed easier and faster to prepare. Boy, did my taste buds get a reminder. Eating fresh green beans is 100% better than the frozen variety. The flavour is richer and the beans are crunchier (that’s how I like to cook them). Fresh green beans also has a better supply of vitamins K, C, Manganese, and fibre. They also don’t take too long to cook either, as I’ve been convincing myself that they do.
My lesson to impart today is: Fresher is definitely better. Our schedules are busy, and time always seems to be against us but remember to treat your body right every day. Fresh fruits and vegetables are always the better way to go.

Tip For Today:
Almonds are a great choice for your mid-morning or afternoon snack. They provide the much needed magnesium that you require daily, plus they are rich in potassium, manganese, copper, vitamin E , selenium, and calcium. And in case you didn’t know, a quarter cup of almonds has almost as much calcium as a quarter cup of milk. So go ahead and grab about one handful of almonds, and enjoy them with your favorite fruit, for a smart and healthy addition to your meal plan. #Nutrition #Fantasiefitness

Oil products come with a variety of health claims: no cholesterol, no fat, no calories, light, and the list can go on. Vegetable oils never have cholesterol because cholesterol is found only in animal fat; no fat, no calorie claim on spray oils is a trick of serving size; Olive oil labeled ‘light’ means that it is light in color, not calories. ‘Extra light’ has the same number of calories as every other salad or oil, which is 120 per tablespoon. All oils have the same number of calories per tablespoon (120). Don’t be confused by the claims on the labels. #Nutrition #FantasieFitness
